Excellent.

I see a lot of people complaining about the sound/video quality, but it looks fine to me. The message is a very powerful one, and I congratulate you on your desire to express your opinions.

The quality of life in America is much higher than it should be given the average quality of life in the world. By being born an American, I was given a much bigger handout than any US Foreign Aid policy has ever given anyone -- I got to live in a house, with my own room, eat three square meals a day, attend school, receive adequate medical care, etc. This all comes basically for free -- sure, my parents worked, but they worked in an air-conditioned office where they sat at desks; most residents of third world countries would consider such a thing a vacation. I certainly don't deserve any of this; I'm not just some really great person who earned the right to drink clean water by the size of my heart or my academic performance.

To the gentleman who blamed terrorism on "kooky religions," I reply that with the past few decades there have been prominent Muslim terrorists, Christian terrorists, Jewish terrorist, Atheist terrorists, and terrorist groups made up of people of mixed religions. Terrorism isn't driven by religion, per se, but by an intense, shared hatred. As America has lead the world into corporate globalism, it has in many was turned its back on its founding principles, leading to justified hatred of America by many foreigners. As an American, I hope that we will be able to help turn this around and become once again a country standing for liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness.

Please post more of your flash on NG, and make more flash in general. You're awesome.

Not as good as usual

This series is awesome, but this particular one isn't very good. The cut sequences weren't as fast-paced as they had been before, and the audio left something to be desired.

Also, I should mention that "IIII" is indeed the correct roman numeral for 4, not "IV," because "IV" was the symbol for the god Jupiter in Roman times. In most proper uses, "IIII" is used, like on this clock face:

Not Funny

I've got nothing against clock movies, but this one sucks. Really. It's not even remotely entertaining. Nobody would ever want to watch this.

I would... And the reviews before this seemed to like it....
But you're entitled to your opinion, you know whatever...

It was good in some places

Great job with the music, good storytelling. The visual effect wasn't quite what it could have been.

Brilliant.

This is amazing as a statement about life. The modern take on the stream-of-conciousness idea was wonderful. Also, you are to be commended on the voice acting and the animation; the portrayal of characters was very good. You 130><013.

Funny Movie

Although I can't speak for Prof. Hawking, this is the sort of thing he'd probably think was funny. I recently attended a lecture he gave on the possible implications of Godel's Theorem on M-Theory (the new and improved version of string theory), in which he provided an answer to the question, "Who would win in a fight, you or Governor Schwarzenegger?" along with other such silliness. He's a funny guy.

Huh?

I have nothing against abstract art; I even do some of it myself. I must say, however, that this seemed to make less sense than Un Chien Andalau. The point of abstract art, as far as I see it, is to express an isolated feeling without the extraneous factors from environment which may effect it; however, as I didn't understand this movie, or connect with it on an emotional level, I think it could use work artistically.

Technically, it's good at parts, although I'm not sure why you used complete silence in the beginning; as John Cage observed, "complete silence" just means the background noise from wherever you are, which can vary quite a bit from computer to computer. Unless you intended this, I'd suggest getting a recording of ambient noise in a near-empty room and inserting it.

Excellent Movie

This was an excellent movie; however I would leave out the last scene (the one in color), or at least alter it; the meaning of the movie is clear enough without it (certainly with the quotation at the end), and it seems to break the style of the movie considerably. On the other hand, maybe I'm just odd. Incredible animation, brilliant storytelling.
